The New Zealand pacers, Cardigan Bay and Cardinal King, are the favourites for tomorrow night’s SUSSO.OOO International Pace at Yonkers Raceway. Cardigan Bay is attempting to become the first harness horse to win a million dollars. Eight horses from four nations are expected to compete. Cardigan Bay, Cardinal King and Southern Song will represent New Zealand. The American starters are Song Cycle, Honest Story and Adios Vic. First Lee and Golden Blend will represent Australia and Canada, respectively.

The record of 4min 2 4-ssec for the 15 furlongs and 92 yards was set by Caduceus in a heat of the Inter-Dominion Championships, which he won. The Marathon Stakes will be Halwes’s last race for the 196768 season, his part-owner and trainer, A. Wesley, said on Monday.
