Papatoetoe Horse Fit • "The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. Miles Gentry was in fine form for his attempt on the Alexandra Park mile record tomorrow, said his trainer, P. Stewart He had his final fast workout yesterday and, said Stewart, went “pretty well.’’ Miles Gentry sprinted two half-miles. The first was done In a leisurely Imin ssec. A few minutes later he was allowed to go more freely and clocked Imin Isec. He worked on his owner's private track at Papatoetoe and was driven by Mrs N. Agnew, who will handle him tomorrow. Mrs Agnew has been granted a special licence for the time trial, which will be a feature of a combined matinee meeting. The trial will take place at 2.5 p.m. and Miles Gentry will have the assistance of a stablemate, Victoria, as galloping pacemaker. Victoria will be driven by P. Stewart. Governor Frost, Loyal Knight, Southern Silver, Milford Boy, Mountain Pride and Terraton are among those engaged in the equalisator racet, which will start at 1.1 p.m.
