(N.Z. Frees Association) AUCKLAND, April 22. In five weeks Elizabeth Stevenson, aged 20, ran up a toll bill for $2lO, said Sergeant N. W. Stanhope in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court today. The telephone was used to make toll calls to merchant seamen in the United Kingdom. Telegrams were also booked to the telephone number. Mr N. M. Izard, S.M., convicted Miss Stevenson and admitted her to probation for a year so that she could make restitution of $l5l still owing.
