Fendalton, at 7J6 p.m., on Thursday, April 18, 1968, the Waimairi County passed a resolution by way of Special Order, making adjustments to the boundaries of the Styx and Papanui Ridings and the Belfast and Harewood Ridings. The purport of the resolution is to transfer:— (1) An area of land in Englefield Road and adjacent thereto from the Harewood Riding to the Belfast Riding. (2) An area of land in the Farquhars Road. Grimseys Road and Prestons Road area from the Styx Riding to the Papanui Riding. The alteration hereby made shall take effect on and after the day of the next triennial elections: viz, October 12, 1968. Every person affected should set forth in writing any objections he may wish to make to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said land not being an objection to the mount or the payments of compensation and to lodge the written objection at the offices of the Christchurch City Council, Manchester Street.
