Shrink-Proof Wool
Sir, —At last New Zealand research has come through with a shrink-resistant wool garment Now let us have some action and flood the New Zealand and overseas markets with this most desirable of garments. The only snag is, we must make it reasonably priced. Last December I searched the town for a fine pure-wool cardigan. Thousands of expensive synthetics were offering, but practically (no woollen ones.) At last 1 did buy one for $8.95. At Christmas I went to Sydney, and came back with two lovely pure-wool cardigans—cost $5 each—and a twin set, pure wool, $11! The styling was considerably better than the
New Zealand garment. Let’s get cracking and use some of our vast store of wool to our own advantage. If a Gallup poll were taken among New Zealand women, they would vote overwhelmingly for a shrink-resistant woollen garment which keeps its shape, is cool in summer, and warm in winter.—Yours, etc., ANTI-SHRINK.
