Vegetables Wanted
(N.Z. Press Association) GORE. April 18. An appeal was made today for vegetables for young children in Wyndham and Mataura, after the week-end floods. Later today it was announced that the response to the appeal had been overwhelming. The health factor rules out the use of vegetables which have been covered by floodwaters. The need for greens was urgent, the Town Clerk at Mataura (Mr I. S. Watson) said today.
