PUMPING STATION.—This is the site of the pumping station near the mouth of the Halswell River where two pumps will each be able to pump almost 200 gallons of drainage water a second over a bank into Lake Ellesmere. The deepening and extension of main drains is also part of the scheme to facilitate drainage and de-salting of some 4000 acres in the area.
