DUTIES: The appointee will be required to carry out technical investigations and project work and to be responsible for the supervision of engineering gangs under the direction of the Mechanical Engineer (■Senior). QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess a university degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or qualifications acceptable for graduate mem bership of the Institute of Engineers. Australia. EXPERIENCE: It is expected that the successful appointee will have had one year of experience since completion of his degree or diploma, but applicants with less experience will be considered. CONDITIONS: 1. The commencing salary for the position will be in accordance with the Professional Engineers' Award, plus a variable lead bonus ($2O-$75 per week for the month of April). A cost of living adjustment is included in the basic salary. 2. The successful appointee will be eligible to join a noncontributory superannuation scheme after a period of six months satisfactory service. 3. Annual holiday leave is five weeks (that is. 23 working days, plus two days in respect of Anniversary Day and Queen's Birthday public holidays provided such days are worked). 4 Sick leave, if approved by the Company, is granted on full pay.

5. Thirteen weeks long service leave is qualified for after 10 years service. 6 A very liberal staff medical scheme is available. 7. Dental treatment is provided by the Mines' Dental Clinic. 8.
