Canterbury Proposal On Soccer League
The Canterbury Football Association will offer its two leading Hurley Shield teams and one-third of the cost of running a Southern League when delegates from five South Island associations meet in Christchurch to discuss the proposed league later this month. The Canterbury association will also propose that the league be a two-round competition, that gate takings be pooled and that a percentage of any profit be distributed as prize money.
