Cunis May Not Play

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. R. S. Cunis, the Auckland and New Zealand medium-fast bowler, is unlikely to play in the Plunket Shield match against Northern Districts at Eden Park on Friday. Cunis bowled well against Central Districts yesterday, finishing with two for 53 from 32 overs, but the Auckland selectors seem likely to rest him for the Northern match. Should T. W. Jarvis be fit—he will have a fitness test before the match starts—he is expected to rejoin the side, perhaps even at the expense of a bowler, possibly replacing Cunis. Should Jarvis not pass the test on his injured neck, J. D. Behrent or R. M. Harris could take his place.
