PETROL PRICE

(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, Jan. 3. Retail prices are not now expected to increase until toward the end of the month, possibly on January 27. The Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) said yesterday that there would be no announcement at least until after the first Cabinet meeting of 1968, on January 23. He said that his department was still investigating oil company costings in the light of the recent New Zealand devaluation. An increase in petrol prices of about 3c a gallon is expected to be approved.!
