Calves Across The Sea

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright)

LONDON, Jan. 3. Irish farmers are being asked to give calves to British dairymen who have lost their herds through the foot-and-mouth disease epidemic. The idea has been put forward by Mr James Canning, aged 28, who farms at Naas, in County Kildare. The British tractor firm of David Brown has offered to pay the freight charges to Britain of the first 50 calves.
