Wolfenden’s Big Lead

The Auckland reinsman, P. T. Wolfenden, has enjoyed a remarkable run of success this season and ho ha* a handy lead of nine on the list of winning drivers. He ha* had 28 wins so far, compared with 1* by M. Holmes, who bad a fairly lean time at mid-spring meetings. C. C. Devine is third, with R. Young and D. J. Townley. Each has had 11 wins, one more than D. C. Watts, who la followed by F. Smith with nine, and D. G. Jones. C. S. Hunter, and A. K. Holme* with eight. J. D. Litton, of West Melton, and R. Purdon, of Pukekohe, share the lead on the list of successful trainer* with 13 win*. C. C. Devine is in second place with 11 wins, followed by J. L. Behrns, D. G. Jones and J. Grant, C. S. Hunter, G. B. Noble and N. F. White, all with eight.
