Sandown Cup Today
(Special Crspdt. NZPA) MELBOURNE. Several Melbourne Cup runners, including Bed Crest, which finished second in the big race earlier this month, will meet again in the 1N.Z.8600 Sandown Cup today. Bookmakers have framed a wide early market, with New Zealand-breds Bellition and Fulmen sharing favouritism at 6/1 with Padtheway. Red Crest will be ridden by the Maori jockey, p. Mohi. who usually rides over fences in Melbourne. Mohi had to get special permission from Victoria Racing Club stewards to ride Red Crest as his licence restricts him to hurdle, steeple, or flat races for jumping riders only in the metropolitan area.
