Light Luncheon Available. 2696 HEAVY TRANSPORT OPERATORS WHEEL LOAD SURVEY THE Ministery of Works will be carrying out wheel load surveys near Waipara, and also near "Pinehaven,” on State Highway No. 1. The weighings will commence at Waipara on November 21 and near Pinehaven on November 24, each extending over a period of 3 days. * The survey is being carried out on behalf of the National Roads Board and is part of a New Zealand-wide survey. The purpose is to determine what wheel loads actually use highways so that pavements can be better designed to serve the country’s transportation needs. Since the wheels on only one side of vehicles will be weighed the information gained will have no legal significance. Delays will be very short and inconvenience kept to a minimum. The co-operation of operators is requested and will .be much appreciated. D. B.
