Australian crews could present a double challenge to the New Zealand eight when the first Rothmans AustraliaNew Zealand rowing test is held at Lake Karapiro on Sunday. In adidtion to the official Australian eight considered by experts to be as good as the crew which was runner-up to New Zealand at St Catharine’s, a composite eight made up of the official Australian four and a New South Wales four will take part.
