OVERSEAS TRADING
SYDNEY
Mining stocks continued to create most interest on the exchange. Nickel prospector, Great Boulder, put on 50c to 1240. while Western Mining sold 20c easier at 2900, although sales were recorded up to as high as 2960. Earlier in the day, C.R.A. gained 30c to 1210. Thiess Holdings continued to gain ground with the shares putting on 25c to 425. The stock has put on 65c in the last three days. In the oil market Associated Continental Petrol was well traded with the shares gaining 4c to 30c. Bank stocks were a shade firmer with the Bank of New South Wales puting on 12c to 654. B.H.P. sold 15c easier at 1680 Peko Wallsend rose 28c to 594.

MELBOLRNE Minings were firmer and good recoveries were made by C.R.A., up 30 to 1200, Great Boulder, up 40 to 1220, and B.H. Sth, up 32 to 588. Hampton Areas led the few losers with a drop of 20c to 900 after touching 880. Oils were steady. Industrials were firm in mostly narrow movement with rises well in excess of falls. Peko, up 22 to 590, was the main move. B.H.P. dropped 5c to 1690.
