“NO COLD FEET”
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON. The British Lawn Tennis Association council was definitely not getting cold feet about its proposals to abolish the distinction between amateurs and professionals, its chairman, Mr E. Attewell, said yesterday. “Mine are getting more and more hot. We must stamp out the suggestion straightaway,” Mr'Attewell said. Mr Eaton Griffith, Britain’s representative to the international federation, said: “We have exploded the bomb and cannot put it together again. There is no chance of our delaying the move, even if the international federation calls an extraordinary general meeting.”
