Estate Announces Gifts Of $8500

Thirty-four organisations in Christchurch and Timaru will receive gifts-totalling $B5OO from the income of the George Sevicke Jones estate, the New Zealand Insurance Company, Ltd, as trustee of the estate, has announced.

The Christchurch organisations and the amounts they will receive are: —

Presbyterian Social Service Association, $575; South Island Methodist Children’s Home Board, $575: Crippled Children Society (Canterbury Branch), $575; Mary Potter Hospice, $575; The Clothes Shop, $225; Social Services Council of the Diocese of Christchurch, $200; Salvation Army Social Services’ Centre, $200; Nurse Maude District Nursing Association, $200; Foundation for the Blind, $200; Cholmondeley Memorial Children’s Home, $200; Children’s Homes Combined Appeal Trust Board, $200; Canterbury Sheltered Workshop, $150; Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canterbury, $150; Aged Peoples’ Welfare Council, $250; Royal New Zealand Society for Health of Women and Children (Plunket Society), $200; Venerable Order of St John, $300; Heritage (Canterbury), $100; Red Cross Society, $200; Birthright (Christchurch), $150; Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society, $100; Combined Appeal for Church Halls of Residence with University of Canterbury, $500; Little Company of Mary (Calvary Hospital), $lOO. The Timaru organisations are:—
