Three Houses Sold

A home on a 26.8 perch section at 212 Main road, Moncks Bay, was passed in at public auction yesterday for $17,500 and sold immediately afterwards for $lB,OOO. The Government valuation is $12,000 and the rates are $118.14. The two-storey house, which was built in 1956 to an architect’s design, has a large lounge, a rumpus room, three double bedrooms and a single bedroom. The property was offered on account of the estate of Mr W. D. Khouri, by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd. The auctioneer was Mr D. O. Chapman.

A six-room bungalow with a garage at 83 St. Andrews Hill road was sold yesterday on account of the late Mr C. W. Murphy for $lO,OOO. The Government valuation for the property on a 31.10 perch section is $9lOO. The bidding started at $BOOO. The auctioneer was Mr N. H. McCrostie.

An ■ eight-year-old, brick veneer bungalow on a 31perch section at 12 Brockenhurst street, Wainoni, was sold for $4860. The house has three bedrooms, a living room and a dining room-kitchenette. Mr A. E. Barrell of A. E. Barrell and Company, Ltd., was the auctioneer.
