New Deputy In Office

The newly appointed Deputy Chief Postmaster, Mr C. V. Jury, began duties in Christchurch yesterday. Mr Jury, who was formerly postmaster at Hastings, will be in charge of suburban

offices. He succeeds Mr G. F. Bell, who retired last March.

Mr Jury began with the Post Office at Nelson in 1930 as a message boy. He has held positions at Napier, Wellington and Dunedin and was at head office for 14 years before being appointed to Hastings in 1965. Mr M. Johnson will return to his position as Deputy Chief Postmaser in charge of country offices.
