Wells Found Guilty

(N.Z. Press Auoeiotion) AUCKLAND, July 12. Robert Charles Wells, aged a Whangarei union official, waa tonight found guilty of steallnr £392 17s. Mr Justice Perry, in the Supreme Court at Auckland, ro* manded him for sentence. The jury, after deliberating for nearly three hours, found that WeUa, between August 29 and April 7, having received a cheque for £4OO on terms requiring him to account for or pay the proceed! of it to employees of tha Town Hall Cafeteria, Ltd, fraudulently omitted to account for or pay £392 17a.
