Obituary FLYING OFFICER W. B. KAY

Flying Officer William Brendan Kay, who was-killed in a flying accident at Singapore on Wednesday, was the youngest son of Mr and Mrs W. L. Kay, of Leithfield Beach. He was 21. Flying Officer Kay was educated at the Amberley school and at St. Bede’s College, Christchurch, where he spent five years, leaving in 1963. He was a prefect in his last year and represented the college at athletics. He was especially interested in high-jumping.

After leaving the college, Flying Officer Kay joined the Royal New Zealand Air Force. He later transferred to the Royal Air Force in England, where he trained in jet aircraft.
