Stablemates Scratched

Five members of the powerful Hazlett-HIUls team were scratched yesterday for their engagements on the first day of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s winter meeting tomorrow. They were Alpine Light and White Wine (Dunedin Hurdles). Istan Light and Naratam (Tahuna Steeplechase), and Golden Diac (St. Clair Handicap). The heavy track would not have suited these horses. Lovely Clover, a winner at Walmate last Saturday and an acceptor for the Tahuna Steeplechase, wUI be taken south, but Mr G. A. Hutton will not make a decision about a start until he inspects the track.
