SUPPORT IN PRINCIPLE
Support in principle for the McCormack’s Bay reclamation scheme was decided on yesterday by the Canterbury Progress League. It was agreed the league should send an observer to a meeting next month between the Christchurch City Council and a deputation from the Mount Pleasant Community Centre. The community centre, which also favoured the development of the bay, was unhappy with some of the details of the scheme, said the secretary of the league (Mr A. MacKenzie).
