Injunction Granted

A Moncks Spur resident, Kelvin Trevor Hardie, a clerk (Mr R. L. Kerr), in the Supreme Court yesterday was granted the injunction he had sought against Laurence Stanley Woods, a grain merchant, and Lilian Woods (Mr R. F. B. Perry). Hardie had sought an injunction restraining the Woodses from allowing surface water to escape from their land on to Hardie’s, to compel them to remove a step on their right of way, and damages of £5OO. The claim for the general damages was not allowed, but special damages of £75 were granted. Mr Justice Macarthur was on the Bench. His Honour said that “artificial constructions” by the defendants had caused alterations in the flow of water.
