Surf Boy was withdrawn from the Waterloo Handicap at Trentham today after entering the starting stalls. While the field was waiting for the start Surf Boy reared and straddled the side of his staH. He remained in this position for some minutes before pulling himself free and breaking through the gates. Surf Boy was lame when he cantered back to the birdcage and it was found he was tender round the fetllock of his near foreleg. Investments on him were reiw ■ trainer, W. D. I | Ji- ML® w&U a I:J u ji at lunong of the Waterloo Handicap and came dlose to Manana (E. J. Dddham). Did ham said his chance was not affected and this was confirmed by the film, which showed that Marsh had corrected Point Duty twice.
