MELBOURNE

Industrials were steady with rises slightly in excess of falls in a narrow market. M.L.C., with a rise of 34c to 930, was an outstanding move. Base metals were irregular, Hampton gained 14c to 156, Western Mining steady at 1195, and C.R.A. down to 626.
