Wool
Sir, —The Government and the Wool Commission should consider carefully action on the lines advocated by Mr Rosenberg in his article in your issue of May 8. The dairy and meat industries work on a reserve price deficiency payment scheme, and it seems ludicrous that the activities of the Wool Commission are not on a similar basis. To deprive the nation of overseas earnings from much of the wool clip, which is the result of the present scheme, is plainly foolish.—Yours, etc., FARMER. May 8, 1967.
