APPLICATION ON ZONING
Manufacturers Seek Change The Canterbury Manufacturers* Association has made application for a property it owns at 249 Cambridge terrace to be zoned commercial so that it can be used for office purposes. The association has applied for consent for the house, on 19.4 perches, at present zoned residential B. to be zoned as commercial under a specified departure from the City Council’s district planning scheme. The association bad previously sought to use the house for office purposes as conditional use under the present zoning of the area as residential B, but the town planning committee recommended that this application be declined.
At the last City Council meeting the question was debated and the matter was referred back to the town planning committee for further consideration after there had been a division on the question.
Persons who may wish to object to the association’s application to have the property zoned comercial have until 4 p.m. on June 7 to lodge objections in writing in the office 1 of the Town Clerk.
