SERMON ON SOUL

No Special Discussion (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 5. The request by the Presbyterian laymen for a special meeting of the General Assembly to discuss Professor L. G. Geering’s “man has no immortal soul” sermon has been declined. This was announced today by the Moderator (the Rt. Rev. S. C. Read). “I believe the interests of all parties will best be served by delaying consideration until the next regular meeting of the Assembly in Christchurch in November,” said Mr Read.
