OPPOSING POLICY Relatives At Games (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The Auckland Athletic Centre is strongly objecting to any restrictions being placed on relatives of competitors or officials travelling to Olympic or Commonwealth Games. It will ask the New Zealand Olympic Association to withdraw its recently published policy regarding re-; strictions to be placed on relatives. The request will be made through the Amateur Athletic Association. The centre believes disciplinary powers already held by managers are quite ade- - quate and therefore it is unnecessary to make special | mention of restrictions to bej placed'on relatives attending games. An executive member, Mr E. Fernandez, said: "You’d think the games association was sending away a bunch of school kids the way they’re acting.
