HAGLEY H.S. DISPLAY

Parents See All Departments

Almost every activity of the Hagley High School was open for inspection by parents and others- interested last evening. The choice of date allowed typical work to be displayed in variety and also allowed potential entrants to pay a visit before the mid-year enrolment time.

After an address about the school by the headmaster (Mr T. R. Richards), there were items by the brass band, junior choir, senior choir, orchestra, and physical education and trampoline teams. Among the displays in classrooms were:—shorthand, bookkeeping, and rhythmic typing; a writing laboratory in English; tape recordings and wall displays in French; maptracing, lettering, and film strips in geography; working groups in cookery, clothing, and floral art; chemistry, physics, biology, electricity, mechanics, and general science; a big range of social studies; and a wide variety of technical workshop exhibits.
