GUN CLUB SHOOTING
J. Brightling won the Attwood Cup in the Belfast Gun Club shoot. Fifty-two shooters competed. Results of the straight clay events were:— Match I.—lo-blrd eye opener —Possibles: P. Askey R. Satherjy, S. Henderson, I. Ballinger, R. Keys, C. Bisset, S. Glennie, A. Berry, G. Wall. H. Biddle, and C. Arps. Match 2.—10-bird sweepstake —Possibles: J. Simpson, D. Jury, I. Ballinger, J. Sluis K. Isitt, N. Inwood, T. Walls,' R Skerten, J. Brightling, D. Lorking, and C. Arps. Match 3.—10-bird single barrel—Possibles: N. Ablett, N. Inwood, T. Walls, J. Brightling, and D. Lorking. Match 4.—Five-pair double rise—Possibles: D. Lorking (10), P. Askey, J. Claydon, and J. Sluis (9).
Values Maintained.—On the second day of the Fremantle wool sale today, yesterday’s opening day values were fully maintained. Competition was again keen and widespread, Japan being the main buyer. —Canberra, April 12.
