Exports Halted

Indonesia has stopped its exports to Hungary, Rumania and Bulgaria, it was announced today. A statement from the Indonesian Monetary Council said instructions had been issued to export offices and banks to stop issuing export licences to the three East European countries.
It claimed that Hungary, Rumania and Bulgaria had seized Indonesian export products as compensation for Indonesia’s debts.
