Notifiable Diseases

Four cases of pulmonary tuberculosis in the Christchurch health district were among the notifiable diseases reported to the Department of Health for the week ended March 25. All the cases were men in their 50s. Three live in the city area and one lives in the Waimairi district. One man from the Malvern county in his 20s contracted amoebic dysentery. The report said he was doing military service and probably contracted the disease overseas.
