The beaten favourite on the first night, Loyal Knight, made amends by winning the Waikato Free-for-all, the first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Waikato Trotting Club’s meeting at Claudelands last night.
A double of £129 15s for £1 was completed when Lady Derene won the Claudelands Stakes for three and four-year-olds. The meeting opened in fine weather, but showers soon set in.
