Games Bid To Stand
(N.Z. Preax Association* AUCKLAND
The Auckland City Council’s decision not to support an Auckland bid for the 1974 Commonwealth Games, which will be lodged by the Auek-* land Amateur Sports Association, will have no material effect on the? association’s application.states the half-yearly re-’ port of the president, Mr B. C. Simpson.
His report will be made to the meeting of the association today.
While the council’s action was disappointing, Mr Simpson said, the association did not require finance from the council.
