MAN BURNT TO DEATH

Trapped Inside Blazing Bach

(N.Z. Press Association) TAIHAPE, Nov. 23. A man was burnt to death in his bach at Taihape last i night. He was Patrick Francis Donovan, aged 66, retired farmer, married with three adult daughters. A neighbour, Mr P. Clarkson. said he saw the bach in flames at 10.45 p.m. and tried to rescue Mr Donovan, but was forced back by the intense heat. Mr Donovan staggered to the front door and then fell backwards into the flames. Fatal Burns A woman died in Wellington Hospital yesterday from burns she suffered from a fire in her flat on November 7. She was Miss Violet Florence Nee, aged 79, of Oak Park avenue, Wellington. Boy Died A boy who was hit by a goods train in Mount Eden yesterday, died in Auckland Hospital today.

He was Gary Hensleigh, aged 8, of Mount Eden.
