Rise In Exam. Marking Fees

WELLINGTON, Nov. 23.

The Government has approved higher fees to markers in the School Certificate examination and other examinations conducted by the Education Department. The Minister of Education (Mr Kinsella) said today the marking fee for a two-hour paper had been increased from 4s 6d to 5s 3d and for a three-hour paper from 6s to 7s.

The increase would be paid for examinations in progress at present.
