Airliner Lands Safely

(N.ZP. A.-Reuter—Copyright) MEXICO CITY, Oct 31. A Mexican Comet jet airliner crash-landed safely with 33 people aboard today after its undercarriage failed. The Mexican pilot Captain Hector Bassail Villa, circled for three hours to use up fuel while emergency services fire engines and ambulances were alerted at Mexico City airport The aircraft on a flight from Chicago, slid to a halt along a hundred yards grass strip between two main runways without injury to passengers or crew. New Rooms.—Two new classrooms are being built at the Lyttelton Main School and five others will be renovated in the near future. A new heating system is being installed at the school and because all toilets are considered inadequate, they will be replaced.
