CHALLENGES RECEIVED

(N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER. The Marlborough and Poverty Bay Rugby Unions have challenged Hawke’s Bay for the Ranfurly Shield next season. The challenges were received and noted at a meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union’s management committee. Waikato, Taranaki, Wellington, Otago, Southland, Wairarapa, Bush and Manawatu an all due to play in Hawke’s Bay in the 1967 representative season and Bay of Plenty requested a match, before Hawke’s Bay won the Ranfurly Shield either away or at home.

Bride* Winners. —Ur W. Underman (Auckland) and Ur S. Nutt (Napier) won the North Island bridge championship at Wairakel. They scored ISOS points.
