LAOS ASKS FOR ARREST
( N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BANGKOK, October 31. The Laotian Government has asked the Thai authorities to arrest General Thao Ma, the Laos Air Force chief who fled to Thailand after sending his planes to bomb Army installations in the Laos capital 10 days ago. There is no extradition agreement between Thailand and Laos, but the Thai authorities have agreed to refer evidence against General Ma for a Court to decide whether he should be treated as a political refugee or as a fugitive from justice.
General Ma took 11 Air Force planes and 13 officers with him to Thailand on October 22, the day after the Vientiane bombings.
