Rescued From Blazing Flat

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct 30. An 80-year-old woman was rescued from her blazing flat this afternoon by a man who was visiting her neighbours. The woman, Mrs Julia King, who lives in one of three flats at 5 Carlton Gore road, Grafton, was affected by smoke and was unable to get out from a room adjoining the burning lounge. The visitor, who declined to give his name, smelled smoke, rushed in and took her to safety. Mrs King was resting with neighbours tonight. Apart from shock she was unharmed.
