BRAWL IN S. AFRICA

Whites And Coloureds

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) CAPE TOWN, Oct. 10.

Fighting broke out between coloureds and whites near Cape Town yesterday; 13 coloureds received knife wounds.

Police and ambulances rushed to the spot, a camping site at Darling bridge about 40 miles from Cape Town. Police said the fighting broke out between two parties of campers after a woman had been hit in the face by a man. Soon, about 300 campers were fighting with stones, bottles, knives and fists. Five men were stabbed and eight others injured by flying stones.

The police said no arrests had been made.
