FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A disturbed west to south-west airstream covers New Zealand. Forecast:
Canterbury and the Kaikoura coast.—Partly cloudy with fresh south-westerly winds likely during the afternoon or evening; cold and showery. Outlook: scattered showers, clearing during the day.
Nelson.—Light to moderate variable winds; showers in the western ranges; elsewhere partly cloudy with a few showers after midday; moderate temperatures. Outlook: changeable, with scattered showers.
Buller and Westland.—Light to moderate variable winds; scattered showers, becoming more widespread later in the day; little change in temperature. Outlook: showers clearing.
