Knots For Safety

A “do-it-yourself” rope knotting and splicing programme has been arranged for this evening by the Canterbury Mountaineering Club. All Christchurch tramping clubs have been invited to send members as a further step in teaching climbers mountain safety. Instruction will be given in the making and use of climbing knots, and prusik slings for glacier travel. A lecture will also be given on the construction of snow caves.
