L P. Brown To Rest
The 1965 New Zealand Rugbv League centre, L. P. Brown (West Coast) has withdrawn from the national coaching school to be conducted at Rotorua early next month. The 21-vear-old Brown has been affected by a groin ta inrv for the last two months and will not defend his West Coast decathlon title during the summer. Last season Brown was the fastest West Coast athlete ever 100 >’ ards ' in addltl0 J n to being the province’s leading javelin, discus and shot nut thrower. He holds the West Coast decathlon record. The Kaiapoi centre, B. Williams, wiH replace G. H. Clarke (Papanui) at the coaching school. Clarke withdrew last week because he X unable to get time off work.
