Searching For Faulty Gas

(N.Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, September 9. A massive operation to test and replace between 40,000 and 50,000 cylinders of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) was carried out today in Britain. On Tuesday all dentists and hospitals in the south of England were urgently advised to suspend the use of the gas after two hospital fatalities. One cylinder was confirmed as being contaminated. The testing operation is exoected to take about a week. No additional faulty cylinders have been found so far.
