City, Western Have Two-Point Lead
Christchurch City and Western have established a two-point lead in the Supporters’ Club sponsored soccer tournament and their meeting at Western Park next Sunday should decide the competition.
A backlog of matches was completed at the week-end, with both City and Western winning twice. Technical, too, claimed two wins and hauled
itself off the bottom, leaving Waterside the only team without a point. The individual honours went to the Shamrock centreforward, J.
